The Value Of Project Management

Monday, 20 October
7:15 AM–8:00 AM

A research team commissioned by PMI and conducted through Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada, recently concluded a three-year study Researching the Value of Project Management. Learn more about the findings of this landmark study from Mark Mullaly, PMP; and Janice Thomas, PhD; the principal investigators of the research team.

The breakfast presentation will summarize the results of this study and enable participants to understand and articulate the value that correct implementation of project management can bring to any organization. Attendees will learn how to tailor this understanding to their industries, geographic regions and companies, and how to communicate the value of project management to their stakeholders.

About Connie Podesta

Tuesday, 21 October
7:15 AM–8:00 AM

If We’re Going to Win this Race, We Need to Run in the Same Direction. Imagine… people working together in a respectful, positive environment, personally accountable for results, willingly sharing ideas, and successfully embracing change. Too good to be true? Not according to Connie Podesta, who combines her talent for comedy with an insightful (and right-on-target!) look into the psychology of human behavior (including those “challenging” people and situations). Learning to communicate effectively with people of different personalities, ages, cultures, and ideologies will not only strengthen the entire organization, but also give each person on the team the opportunity to enjoy work more while at the same time, achieve the happiness, health, and success they deserve.
